Who
we are?

The Kiwanis Club of Lakeshore is a local
community service club
open to men and women of good character. Our current 28 members,
are from various backgrounds and age groups. They share
the common goal of
making our community and the world of Kiwanis
International a better place to live and they have fun doing it.
Our primary emphasis are those
projects and activities which benefit families and young
children in the Sault Ste. Marie and surrounding area.
The Kiwanis Club of Lakeshore owns
and operates Camp Wakonda located on McCarroll’s
Lake approximately 25 miles east of Sault Ste. Marie Ontario.
Our club recently rebuilt the main lodge and kitchen facilities which
can now accomodate large groups of campers. The camp property consists
of 34 acres of attractive woodland. Follow the Camp
Wakonda link to see more.
